Question: I'm a girl and i want to be in drumline,how do i start!?

I'm a girl and i want to be in drumline I wanna be like the guy Nick Cannon played when he starred in the movie Drumline but I'm absolutely sure they do NOT have drumline in a school I'm going to!.So how would I get into it without doing it in High School!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Do you have to have played in high school to do drumline in college!?!?!?They don't have it in schools where i am!.(Missouri)

Well, for college, you'll have to audition, so without experience it's unlikey you'll pass the audition!.
To get experience, check if any other schools in your area have a drumline- talk to the band director or drumline instructor there and ask if uou can join, even if you don't go to that school!.
Get private percussion lessons!. (music stores will have names, also try the yellow pages)
Do you have a regular concert band or orchestra at your school!? If so, join that for experience!.
also, ask yourself, if you like PERCUSSION or DRUMLINE (or just want to be like someone in a movie)!. You have to like the first to beinvolved in the second!.
If lessons, concert band or other schools don't pan out!.!.!. some towns have a community band, you can volunteer, even learn from some of the older folks!.
Or, once you get to college, you can take percussion lessons and join the concert band, etc!. to get experience and maybe go out for a marching band/drumline your 2nd or 3rd year!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your high school has a marching band-they have a drumline!
If no marching band,!.!.!.there are independent lines in most metro areas!. try marchingarts!.org or drumcorpsplanet!. You could also try to get into a division 3 drum & bugle corps (go to dci!.org) & see if you can still join/try out,!.!.!.!.
