Hey, this process takes a while, not gonna lie!
If every day for about a month you warm up and down the scale pushing yourself twice a day!. You can extend your range quickly!. also, mixing your voice, trying to eliminate the break in your range can help with this!.

Watch out for lemon stuff, it will dry out your throat but also look out for milk, cause it makes build up!. To find a balance, use throat coat tea, throat spray and suck on a creme savor or a caramel to build up saliva it'll help you!
Hope that helps you!

proper breathing, learn to breathe with your diaphragm, best way is to just get singing lessons, relax your throat and open it!. Don't reach for notes that you can hit, that's probably why you are straining, you are reaching the top part of your range!. also proper breathing will definately help you hit those notes you are straining for though!. But not the crazy ones that you think your supposed to hit!. Get vocal lessons they will help you much more then I can!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try to sing at a normal talking volume!. When you try to sing LOUD, it strains the vocal cords!. Let the mic do it's job!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Practice, practice, practice!. That's all you can do! Or try singing at a normal volume or in a different key!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
