No need to apologize, modeling is a performing art!.

A professional model's portfolio will not contain little snapshots!. It will contain professionally composed and printed 8 X 10 shots that present you in ways that show your range as a model!. If you're only doing it for yourself then, OK, do whatever you please!. But if you ever want to use it professionally, you'll need to invest the hundreds of dollars necessary to hire an established professional photographer who will help you with posing and who will get the lighting right!.

It should absolutely contain a headshot and a full body shot, both of them showing you with little make-up, normal hairstyle, and relatively simple clothing so that the agency can get a good idea of the raw material they will get with you!.

Then it should contain as many shots as necessary to show what special types of modeling you can do!. If you have the skin tone for swimsuit, for example, have a couple swimsuits!. If you have teeth or hands or feet that could handle close-ups (for toothpaste, coffee, or shoe ads) then include some of those!. If you've done runway, then include some actual runway!.

Again, after the headshot and the full-body, you want the extra photos to show your range and specialities--include as many as needed, but don't pad it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
