Question: Can i play my guitar with a quarter!?

im sick of buying new picks and i lose them really quickly because im always multi-tasking!.!.!. can i just play with a quarter!? (for picking strings not chords) i usually play with 2mm jazz III picks anyway, i just dont want a string to break because of itWww@QuestionHome@Com

Metal kills strings!.

The credit card idea was good!. What I've done is take those little plastic tags you get on bread, that keep them closed, that clamp on the twisty part!? (wow, that was a great explanation) Yeah, so I take that jagged plastic thing and I scrape it against concrete so that parts of it wear off and I'm left with a nice rounded edge!. It works quite well, though it may not be as thick as you'd like it!.

Losing picks comes with the territory of being a guitarist!. What I do, personally, is just buy a lot of picks!. =) It kinda sucks, because my favorite picks are "Brain" picks (rough surface to help keep your grip on 'em) and they're not cheap!.!.!. but I bought a pack a month for a few months and the last one was probably four months ago, and I can think of at least six or seven picks that I still have lying around!.!.!. not bad, for me!

After a while you start finding them again!. It's like the circle of life, just happening in the dangdest places, and with bits of plastic, and not talking lions with Elton John in the background!. (two on the dryer, one on the coffee table, one under the couch, one on the water heater, one behind the rat cage, but never any near the amp or in the guitar cases!?)

Why not, all you need is practice, though a pick would be easier!. I don't think it would break your strings, but be careful anyway!Www@QuestionHome@Com
