Question: I need an idea for a Broadway Style song that I could sing for an audition! Have any ideas!?
It has to be a broadway style song!. I have a VERY POWERFUL voice when I am in my lower range (F below middle C to B above middle C)!. I want to sing a song that shows off my voice and that it is very powerful!.

-I am 13
-I am an alto
-my range THAT I FEEL THE MOST CONFORTABLE IN is from the F below middle C to B above middle C
-if needed I can hit up to D#
-I am a girl
-I want a very pretty song OR one that really shows off my powerfull voice in my lower range of notes

If you have any ideas please post them here!

I beg to differ with those who suggested On My Own - great song, yes, but very overdone also and so much harder to stand out from the crowd with!. Avoid anything from Hairspray, Wicked, Les Mis, Phantom, Avenue Q, Spring Awakening or anything else that's currently big on Broadway!. Look at maybe Adelaide's Lament from Guys and Dolls, one of Sally's songs from Cabaret (Mein Herr, Cabaret or Don't Tell Mama), or you could maybe get away with Funny Honey from Chicago!. Think outside the square, go to the library and have a listen to some cast recordings and see if you hear something you like!Www@QuestionHome@Com
