Question: What's the best brand and make of an acoustic guitar for a serious beginner!?
I'm thinking of learning how to play the acoustic guitar and getting me own!. To all you guitar-players out there, which brand and make is the best to start out with!? i don't want a top of the line, really expensive one, but I don't want one that's not very good!. I want one with good tone and looks but one that doesn't break the bank!. Should I go look at my local music stores and actually try them out then and there to judge feel, tone, and look!?
Thanks for your answers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's very smart of you to have a specific idea of what you're looking for before heading out to the music store!. That prevents you from having some salesman get you to buy a guitar that he wants to sell, not the guitar you want to buy!.

Going to your local music stores to try out feel, tone, and look is exactly what you should do!. Don't pay any attention to the brand name!. (but i shouid warn you I've had horrible personal experiences with Ovation an Fender acoustics!. don't waste your time on those imo)Www@QuestionHome@Com

If money is an issue, buy a Takamine or Yamaha!. Both are good although i prefer the Takamine for the quality of the sound and the action!.
It is very low maintenance and it is rare that I adjust them in my shop!.

Your choice honey!.!.:)Www@QuestionHome@Com

buddy of mine (who is far more proficient than I am, swears by the Canadian-built Carvin guitars!. Here is a link;

Definitely go to the store, and try them all!. I recently purchased a Mitchell for around $200!. He was the founder of Guitar Center!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to a music store and try theirs!. Never buy any guitar that you haven't played first!. Look at the Taylors and Martins if you can afford themWww@QuestionHome@Com
