Question: What are some beautiful instrumental fingerstyle songs to learn for guitar!?
I'm really into fingerstyle acoustic guitar, and I want to learn some new stuff!. I'm not exactly a beginner, I'm playing stuff by Antoine Dufour, Don Ross, and Andy Mckee, so don't suggest dust in the wind or tears in heaven!. I'd like to learn some new tunes that would blow people away and melt their hearts at the same time!. any suggestions!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would suggest for a 'non beginner' to learn "Reality," by Antoine Dufour!. It IS played (Youtube/Existence CD) on a baritone guitar!. However, I do know the correct tuning for a standard guitar so don't be worried!. This song is EXTREMELY difficult and it sounds very, very nice!. If you would like I can email you the mp3 of the song to listen, or just go to his Youtube version (watch it in high-def for best audio)!.

If you like my suggestion, I have many more - but I would be wasting time if you didn't like my original to just suggest more you possibly wouldn't like!.

Take a look at www!.sheetmusicplus!.com and you should get more ideas than you can ever use!.

A couple of weeks or so back, there was a PBS program with Paul McCartney live at Abby Roads!. In the program he played a lot of the old Beatles standards!.!.!. yawn!.!.!. but the one piece he played that really set my juices on fire was BLACKBIRD!.!.!. because he explained his thinking when he wrote that song and the camera angles were excellent, so anyone who has ever banged their head on their guitar trying to figure out the correct way to play Blackbird, can watch that video and be playing it just like McCartney!.

I got so juiced up, I got out the old Beatles Anthology and have been working through some of the old Beatles standards that I never expected to play again!.

Like the song goes "Everything old is new again"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
