Well i would certainly recommend this guitar its a very good 1 for a beginner and even to advanced!! its good value for money normally but i use euro so i dont understand that price!.!.!.
the 112 can give you a great variety of tones due to the 3 pickups (1 humbucker for more bite think greenday to mettalica, and 2 single coils for a smooth easier style think most clean guitar, nice solos)

so as you can see this is a great beginner GUITAR!!

the amp!.!.!.i dont know much about it but id say its wort a shot !.!.

overall quite good but im not sure of the amps quality in offering distortion!.!.!.

For that price , get the new Epiphone Les Paul and a better amp than what you were planning to get for a total of $500!.

Epiphone has a fat sound and a very sensitive fingerboard and 24 frets as well!.

I own 1963 Gibson Les Paul original!. Now I repair Epiphone which is now owned by Gibson!. I play with them all the time and really astonished at the sound and quality!. They are low maintenance , awesome action, and a rock and bluesy sound!. They are very well set at the factory and have a better resale value than what you planned to buy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I own a Yamaha classical guitar!. I bought it back in the seventies and I still play it today!. Yamaha is probably the best value on the market but they don't have a very high resale!. I also own a "76" Gibson Les Paul and I know their very expensive but it was well worth it, just something to keep in mind for in the future!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
