Question: Help with drums fast!!?
oh great yahoo answers, do not fail me now!!! lol so i took drum lessons a long time ago, when i was younger, but never got good enough to play at my church or anything, i was still pretty novice!. but now my church drummer suddenly up and left and they need somebody!. i'm going to practice with them in 5 days!!! i can read drum music(not that that helps at all!) and can keep a really basic beat, but sometimes i get messed up!. can someone suggest some really good techniques/exercises to cover the main essentials fast!? i plan to work on it with time, but i need a jump start now! i really appreciate, thanxWww@QuestionHome@Com

Drummings Takes Years To Advanced But My Advise Is Getting Your *** into Gear And Start Practing Rock Beats For Half Of The Week Then Playing Along With Music Of The Other Half Of The Week Before You Start Your Performance!.

get the book 2001 drumset rhythms (hal leonard publications)
work out of that until you independent coordination comes back!. Then try playing along with recordings (preferably of the tunes you'll be playing)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Just play! It never really goes away you just have to get coordinated again!. Try playing with a metronome and just doing some rudementary stuff!. paradiddle etc!. go forth and rock!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
