Question: What would be the job description for a musical theatre dancer!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Most musical theatre dancers are genuine triple-threats - that is, they can sing, act and dance, or at least double-threats in that they can sing and dance!. The job will vary from show to show; in "Phantom of the Opera" there's quite a lot of ballet work for the dancers but in "The Producers" the dancers have to be everything from a full-blown chorus line through to tap-dancing storm-troopers with zimmer-frame dancing little old ladies thrown in there for good measure! Basically a musical theatre dancer needs to have ballet, tap and jazz training and be pretty well-versed in all those!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
