Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I never have understood why some guitarists follow such a sloppy habit!. Perhaps they think that if a string loosens accidentally they will have sufficient string to tighten up again!. Good question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Usually it's because their playing is just as sloppy and slovenly!.!.!. people who don't cut their strings are NOT professional since they obviously don't have enough professional pride to do the string installation neatly!. I've also noticed that people who are too lazy to trim their strings are usually a bit lazy with their personal hygiene, too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It is dangerous for the eyes!.
