just tell them you aren't really that hooked on being a pro violinist!. As long as it's not offensive, you should tell them your opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The "textbook answer" here is to follow your dream, which you should!. If I were you, I would just flat out tell them that you dont want to pursue a career as a violinist!. And if they don't really listen at first, really stress to them your seriousness!. Go out for a school play, or try to sign up in a singing, dancing, acting class (es)!. And since your good at violin playing, maybe theres a way you could incorporate that into your dream of singing and acting!. Plus it's always good to have a hobby!.

OK, first of all, the chances of you being a professional violinist are fairly slim!. There are TONS of amazing violinists out there, and it's tough to make it as a pro, especially if you expect it to be your only source of income!. The chances of you making it on Broadway are even slimmer!. You have to be PHENOMENAL and a true triple threat(years and years of dance, acting, AND voice training)!. Then you have to make it through the auditions, and you will probably be expected to have some sort of college degree in the arts!. I mean, most Broadway folks have trained at places like The Royal Ballet, and arts conservatories!. It's extremely tough to get a break in the business!.

Second of all, to actually answer the question, if you insist on trying this, just do it!. Take the classes in school!. It's not like your parents are actually going to change your schedule!. Just keep your grades really high in your other classes(math, history, science, english, etc!.) and try some new electives!. If you're taking private violin lessons outside of school, continue those and take drama and choir in school!. Try out for any and all school plays, and join the drama club!. That will get you started in the right direction!. Then, if you decide to stick with the triple threat idea, slowly add in more extra-curriculars like dance classes, and maybe voice lessons!.

Ultimately, your career choice is your decision!. But I'm letting you know right now: both professions you're talking about are extremely hard to break into!. You have to be THE best!. Not to talk you out of it, but your chances are slim and you will have to work extremely hard to even get a shot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well first of all, it is very hard to sing and dance and act as a career!. most famous ppl have started when they were very young and they have to have a lot of talent!. Sometimes ppl who try to make a living that way never can because other people don't see the talent!. My dad was a professional actor for most of his life, (plays, not movies) but had to give up his dream cause he knew only a few ppl really make it big!. However, when it comes to violin, either you can play, or you can't play!. Musical instruments are wonderful to learn, I used to play violin, now I play electric guitar!. I'd suggest continue playing violin and take on extra lessons one at a time, like voice lessons first!. I took voice, it's so cool! And try to be responsible about it and serious to stick to it!. Good luck! Don't forget, nothing can replace good education and most likely your parents will want you to go to college!. Have fun! ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com
