Well I'll leave you with some options, all are which, are very easy to make!. In easiest order:

1) The flute!. You could take a wooden rod that's about 1/2" thick and 2' in length, drill a hole straight through the middle and leave a little bit of slack on the other end with no hole!. Take a hack saw and cut in a diagonal cut in the place where it has no hole, which should leave you a small opening on the top part of the flute!. Drill one thumb hole on the bottom, and 6 holes on the top, and it should be able to play a song!.

2) An Ocarina!. Take a wooden Sphere (I'm gonna say about 1/2" to 1"), carve out the inside, make a small hole for you to be able to blow into it, drill 5 holes on top, and that should play as well!.

I had 3 other ideas (Clarinet, Guitar, Bass), but since you probably take shop, and it is only a physics class, you don't need to make that complex of an instrument, hope this helps you out! ^^Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your best bet would probably be a type of flute!. Look up recorder or reed flute!. It's basically a hollow pipe with a mouthpiece and holes to alter the length of the vibrations/sound waves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why don't you make a flute out of piece of bamboo!. All you need to do is drill the appropriate holes into the bamboo!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
