Question: Is playing the irish flute in D similar to the C concert flute!?
I already play flute!. Is the fingering etc basically the same on a basic keyless Irish flute!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I play flute, too, and I went to Ireland with my school band this year and bought an Irish flute!. For the most part, it's similar, but for some flats and sharps, you'll have to half-hole certain holes or use other combinations (it's more similar to the recorder, which is also really similar to the concert flute)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. There are more holes to cover on flute than on Irish tinwhistle which is smaller!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
