Best bass guitar for beginers??

Question: Best bass guitar for beginers!?!?

My 12 year old son wants to play the bass and I want to know what the best quality but affordable bass is for beginners!. We were thinking the Ibanez jumpstart pack!. Any ideas!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

i'd go with the cheapest one you can find, just to make sure he actually wants to play!. a LOT of people quit early!. once he can actally play a little and has become devoted get a nice one!. having a middle of the line guitar sucks, you just want a better one!.

Yes, that's a good starter bass package!.
A reminder to buy it from a place that you can take it back to if there is a problem, guitar center is one place I can think of!.
The bass fret spacing is larger than a guitar, so to his hand it might feel like a big stretch but he will get used to it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
