Question: Stage Names!?!?
My friend is looking for a stage name, but she's not sure what would suit her!. She does some acting, but mostly she's with her grunge/punk band!. Her personal style is kinderwhore but with a more punk edge- think early 90s Courtney Love mixed with Nancy Spungen- if that helps!.
She's been thinking about Emma Star or Kate Conway, which is really just mincing up her real name (EmmaCate Conway-Starr)- do you think those suit her or can you think of something else!? (She like Kate Conway because it has the same number of letters as Kurt Cobain *shrug*)

She sounds like Kate Conway to me!. Emma Star sounds like a sissy trying too hard!. The K sound is forcefull and demands attention You can pronounce it with your chin stuck out and a glare in your eye!. It's no coincidence private parts of man and women have K names that seem a little naughty and sometimes hurtfull!. K ia Kool for a reason, so go with that unless she's really a sensitive babe with a C**t of gold!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Emma has a very sweet, innocent sound so I like the idea of her playing against that!. Starr/Star makes her sound like an exotic dancer (no offense to anyone really named that), which sounds like it might be what she's going for, but it does sound kind of fakey!. So Emma Starr might be okay but I'd suggest something just a little more real-sounding, like Emma Davies or Emma Lyle!. Random last names but they just sound right to me!. Emma Conway might work, but it sounds weirdly businesslike to me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Starr makes me think of Ringo Starr, and though he was a great musician, someone she probably doesn't want to associate herself with!. So I would suggest sticking with Conway for the second name!.
Emma sounds very giry, doesn't really suit the grunge band shes with!. Kate or something with even more edge and sass
