its really easy, all you have to do is go to your local music store (or Wal-Mart if you dont have one) and buy a tuner that you that has an input jack so you can plug your guitar in it, my personal tuner is called QuickTune and i got it for 15 dollars at my local music store, then all you do is plug in your guitar, play a note and it will tell you if you are sharp or flat, then you tune accordingly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are several different kinds of tuning!. Learning to tune a guitar was what defeated me!.
Nowadays there are electronic tuners that you place on the body of your guitar!. I think these cost in the neighborhood of $50!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
