If YOU don't think you have what it takes to be an actor, why should anyone else think so? If you don't have confidence in your abilties, no one else will either. Show business is full of people who aren't necessarily all that talented -- but THEY thought they were -- so they pursued their dream with all the determination they had -- and they made it.

Secondly, nowhere is it written that you have to look a certain way or have movie-star-dazzling, leading-man good looks to be an actor.

You have a good, resonant voice. You are creative enough to do something in the pursuit of your goal and you're obviously not camera shy. You also thought well enough of yourself to dress in a shirt and tie. Those are all positives.

I have a nephew with a voice similar to yours who is doing quite well in radio work. He tried television newscasting, but prefers the creative possibilities radio gives. So if acting doesn't work out--or if you want to do something to support yourself through acting classes--also check out radio work.

And remember, it's not always the look of the face that matters, but more often the look of the heart that comes through the eyes. God will lead you to where you will be most satisfied, if you'll trust Him.

You'll do fine, kid, but why not get into broadcasting? You certainly have the voice for it and there's more money there. Of course, if you're dead set on acting and there's nothing will dissuade you, GO FOR IT!!!!

you can be an actor with or without looks. ill tell you though talent doesnt come over night. youll have to work very hard and have integrity for the sport. good luck! you would be great!

honsetly, first of all, the look of an actor doesn't really say you 'can' or you 'can't' it just gives some people an easier time. You may not have girls dieing at the sight of you, but you aren't ugly. Secondly, yeah, you sound like you would be a great newscaster, and there are plenty of those in any thing. That was very good acting, if I hadn't known better I would have thought you were watching the game go by. Did you ad lib that all??

Keep trying, and check online for some auditions in your area, say TV comercal or something. Get out there and try and let people see whether you are good or not.
