I suggest u do not buy a Line 6 Spider III, i have one myself and I liked it at first but as I got better and better I noticed that it really sucks compared to other amps of its price. yes u can use effects pedals with the spider III but u dont need to becuz it comes with all the main effects. that is probably one of the only good reasons to buy the Spider III. it has a lot of effects but the sound quality is bad. trust me.

and there are some things wrong with the comment above mine about line 6 spider III that i want to point out:

"I use the Line 6 Spider 3 Amp myself, And I have to say I love it. It sounds great and I've had no troubles with it, Also affordable.. You can plug headphones into it(get some good ones), you can plug another amp into it etc. Its a good amp to get started with.. Later on Line6 larger amps will be good too when you're more out to invest. That or marshal."

heres whats wrong with what that person said:
1. it doesnt sound good compared to other amps of its price
2. i, and everyone i know who has it, do have troubles with it, u can have personal settings on it but if u dont no how to work it can really screw u up and u have to readjust if u switch channels and its just really confusing when u first buy it
3. all amps can plug headphones into them (spiders arent the only ones)
4. All amps can plug other amps into them
5. the larger amps don't increase in quality, only the amount of watts

i suggest you buy a $300 marshall of the same size of the Spider III you wanted. It has better sound quality. if you really want effects then use the remaining money on pedals.

Trust me, ive had a Line 6 for over 2 years now. i dont like it. (i dont hate it but I couldve gotten something better for the same price). and everyone I know who has one experiences the same troubles as i do.

thanks for shootin down everything I said, i still stand by all of it. Idk whats wrong with your line6 but mines fine. you know what i meant by larger amps, and i know other amps can do that stuff i was just saying. no reason for me to get a thumbs down i was speaking truth Report It

  • are you looking for enough inputs to plug all 3 guitars, the pedals, etc, into the same amp? not a real good idea if you're looking for a clean sound and you'd spend more than 350 anyway for a decent result.

what are you trying to set up? are you using this for performing live? just jamming together? what?

YAMAHA amp. because it is really tested by the most known artist. And i had tested it too its sounds good.
and it has many special features like sound effects. try it!!
