Band festival?

When I was still in middle and high school, we went to a hand-full of band festivals every year (for concert band, marching band, and even things like percussion ensemble).

Depending on just how local the festival is (assuming there is a competitive side to the festival), the festival will either be really laid back (for the small[er] town festivals) or pretty fast paced and intense (in a fun way -- these are usually bigger city festivals). The director also probably has a few things planned for the band to do (like visit a theme park/carnival or go to the movies) and these are sometimes pretty cheesy, but when you graduate high school, these will (hopefully) be some of your best memories.

Hey i'm in 10th grade (flute/piccolo!)! we go every year, and it's so fun! lots of jokes... one time our band director cut us off at the wrong time,put we kept playing, and ended up getting superior... a 1 is superior, 2 is excellent, 3 is fair? idk about 3+
