Position:Home>Performing Arts> Do ticket brokers sell you tickets to the wrong venue?

Question:I was trying to get tickets to a show and was excited to see that it was supposedly coming to my town. I called the theater in town and they said that show is not going to be there. I went back to the website where I saw it listed, clicked on the event like I was going to buy the tickets and it said the WHOLE time that these tickets were for an event at the theater in my town.

What is one's recourse if you actually went through with the sale? I know tickets are usually non-refundable, but if the information is wildly inaccurate, what does one do?

Usually it's more of a bait-and-switch. That happens. Like, they may advertise a show that *sounds* like another show, but actually isn't. I've never actually seen a broken sell a show that simply didn't exist!

Sometimes tour contracts don't work out, but it's rare. If you're talking about a touring hall, *maybe* the employees were instructed not to elaborate. I'm so curious what the broker would have to say about all this.
