Position:Home>Performing Arts> How much is a elctraic guitar cost?

Question:That varies so much it would be hard to say, just go to a reputable guitar store and see what they have that's in your budget and has the sound and action that you like. You can buy inexpensive guitars for $129.00 but they sound like a $129.00, and remember that you going to have to buy an amp. and amps aren't cheap....something a great amp can make an inexpensive guitar sound a little better, but I don't know what you budget is....You should be able to get one for around $ 250.00 that has a decent sound, sometimes when on sale at the Guitar Center even less !!!!! For my beginning students I usually recommend an acoustic guitar to start with, you need less equipment for one thing, and lets see if you can play first. Electric doesn't sound very good until you can play it, so when in the store check out the Yamaha acoustics and see what you think. And then later on when find out if you can play spend the money on a good guitar. Most of my students want electric and then when they come for lessons they want to play the acoustic.....I think they sound better when your just starting out, but you didn't say if this is the case !!!! Well good luck to you. I hope that this helped.

These days there are a load of decent guitars out there for beginners and they can range from anything from about £70.00 to £250.00. You may even be able to get a very playable guitar with an amp included below £100.00 - this is the time to learn the electric guitar for sure.

It's not like 30 years ago when I learned on a piece of crap Kay. In those days instruments were GSO's - Guitar Shaped Objects only, hardly playable and sounding like shite.

Check out the Yamaha Pacifica range. I don't play them myself as my end of the market is now a little higher, but I keep hearing good things about them.
