Question:I'm mostly just curious. I'm a soprano and I've been singing along with my soundtrack. I was just wondering if all of the high notes were in my range or if I just thought they were.

Technically a legit soprano, but often the sound is often more of a coloratura.

It's really kind of a rough role. Another factor would not just be if you can hit them - it is if you can sing the whole show seven times a week and sometimes twice a day. Brightman did not actually sing that crazy high note in performance, although many other Christines did.

(Not to say she can't hit it - she did sing it at least once!) That one note was recorded. There are a few other moments in the Broadway production that have been pre-recorded by the singers. (Sad, but true.)

i'm pretty positive the highest note is a high e... not sure... but i think...

Which soundtrack are you listening to in the original with Sarah Brightman playing Christine she hits a High E . I'm pretty sure she is a 1st saprano as there are different ranges in saprano.
