You will need to replace the nut (piece of bone or plastic at the head of the guitar where the strings pass thru to the tuners) and the bridge (where the strings pass thru to where they anchor in the body) to accommodate the reverse order of the strings. The bridge in particular will need some careful adjustment for intonation. A luthier or guitar repair shop should do the work.

Also, the pickguard will be in the wrong place.

If you do it correctly, the guitar will sound the same.

That is what Jimi Hendrix did to his right handed guitar ; he just flipped it over so he could play it left handed. You can do the same thing in reverse.

You will have to flip the nut around and make some adjustments to the bridge but there is no need to change anything else. You can leave the pickups and everthing else where they are.
