Position:Home>Performing Arts> How to record your own voiceover demo?

Question:I'm looking to get into voiceover, and would like to know how to record my own demo without using a professional. I've heard about recording through MP3s on your own computer, but I need to know more about it.
Please help by giving any advice or tips. Thanks.

You need to purchase (or get) a computer program that you can record and edit with. Even the cheap ones are kind of expensive (maybe $50), the professional programs (like Logic) are seriously expensive, like $800. You're better off going to a studio or hiring someone to do it for you via a digital system.

Before you spend all the time recording something that might be crappy. I suggest you invest in your career and take a 6 week class or maybe even 12. This is a business and not soemthing you just do and book sessions.

Yu should though practice. Get commercial copy and start reading it out loud and recording it and listening to it back.

Good luck.
