How come most modern male singers have ranges that are much higher than mine?

Question:I can't seem to reach the high parts of almost every contempory song I try to sing.
Right now I'm 14, am I just abnormal or is it possible that with age, or practice I can be able to hit those higher notes?

i am going through the same thing
it feels that every song i hear has a lot of high notes
i know this is going to sound weird, but it is puberty.
since i am going through the same thing i asked my vocal tech. teacher what was going on
she told me that it is just my voice changing and after it is done changing i will be able to hit higher notes

(can you use your falsetto right now, during this phase, because i can't.. and my vocal tech. teacher told me i would be able to within a year... but people voice vary... i might not be able to use my falsetto until im 16 or 18)

You're probably a bass, while the song you're trying to sing were written for a tenor. If you practice you'll be able to hit higher notes soon enough. You're voice is still changing, keep that in mind. Don't sweat it.

we currnetly have a load of make singers who sing allot in falceto, im guessing, you can hit a low note JT cant hit

Tenors are very popular right now, but that doesn't mean you have to be one. Love your lower register, though. There will always be a shortage in deeper voices-own it. Don't try to make your voice something it's not, that will just hurt your training..

It's in the genes !!!!! At your age your voice is probably still changing, and will probably get even deeper with age.... Why not check with a voice teacher he/she will be able to tell you what you voice is going to be capable of, who knows what will happen when your voice changes. Think about tenors, they can reach the high notes, but they do have years of training !!!!!!!!
