Question:after playing french horn i always get indents, i no its from pushing 2 hard to get notes out!
but how do i get rid of this quickly after playing?

Sorry, there is really no quick way to get rid of them. But you could work on how you are playing the instrument itself. Get a better grip on the bell of the horn and force the air from your diaghram instead of your lungs and you won't have to push so hard.

I had these marks all the time in high school and I just covered my mouth in the most discretionary ways possible in my next class till I was sure they were gone.

Talk to your teacher about how to help get more control of the instrument and see if he has any suggestions to help!

massage your lips....idk how to explain it lol.

Work on your embrasure (sp?) so you can get your note from the tightness of your lips rather than pressure on the mouth piece. That's all I could think of, because indents fill out in their own time. Possibly a hot cloth?
