Okay, i want to get a new good guitar, any suggestions?

Question:Heres the story, been playing guitar for around 6 years now and am progressing really well, i like to think im good on it, im thinking about selling my drum kit as im not too good on them and i generally prefer guitar. So il have around a ￡500 budget to get a good guitar. My amp is kinda crappy but it does the job so i may get a new one if there is any money left behind. Any suggestions for a new guitar?

Check the Ibanez site. Great sounding, quality guitars for a decent price. That is, if you want electric. If you just want an acoustic, look for Takamine.

I just ordered a Carvin Guitar Kit. They send it to you with the wiring already done, you just paint or stain it, screw the pickguard on, bolt the neck on, install the bridge and you have a quality guitar for about $400. The best part is, you get to say you built it. All the reviews i've read on it say it plays and sounds better than an American Strat.

ibanez or gibson....theres no other good choices......i like fender telecaster also....but u need an ibanez those are the best

Go to a reputable guitar shop, and buy one there with the advice of the pros. Tell them your budget. If they get pushy, go to another shop.

what type of guitar springs to mind.? a strat, a les paul, an acoustic,??
