My First electric guitar!!! plzz help?

You just taught me something. Easter bunnies get drunk at Easter, very good.

Electric guitar: you have an amp, yes? Turn the "gain" up to 10, and the "volume" up to 3. This makes "distortion."

Play power chords, which is the three fattest strings in a combination that looks like this

--------------O-------
----O------------------

or this

---------------O--------
----O-------------------
----O-------------------

Those notes are two frets apart. Use your first finger and third (ring) finger. So, for example, your first finger is behind the 5th fret and your ring finger is behind the 7th fret.

Those are the two basic shapes. Now you can move them around (remember the distortion) to different places on the neck. With your right hand you play just the three fat strings.

Try to get a chunky rhythmic sound. Make something up using the shapes above at different places on the neck. Give a name to whatever you just make up.

Turn the amp up and rock out.

Record it, put it on youtube, wait for the fan mail and record contracts to pour in.
