Question:Those were the days my love, they had same periods and the same eras 1957 - 1977.

I prefer the second one, the acting is more suspense, heavier and more bloody. the acts has dominated full of variations.

The first one told mostly about the urban monsters like Dracula or Werewolf over and over. It is a bit tedious.

Hammer Horrors! In its day was good - I used to watch them every Friday night and hide behind the sofa coz I was so scared! But watch them these days and I think how crap they were compared to the new stuff... Hostel is pretty good.. thats about the only one I`ve seen lately... Not really into Horror movies anymore.. A good film is THE BUSINESS with Danny Dyer... not exactly a horror - more of a gangster film... its damn good though...
