Question:My boyfriend wants an acoustic guitar really bad, but since he is a beginner I would like to start out with something cheap. Can someone experienced tell which one of these would be the best for him out of these three please?

That Peavey Full-size Acoustic from Target looks the best out of those first 3 links. Peavey is a reliable brand, plus it comes with a digital tuner, which is very useful.

Out of the other 3 links, the Ibanez looks good. Those were all reliable brands, but the Ibanez looks like the best offer. Do you know that it is an Acoustic-electric? This means that it can be play acoustically, or you can plug it into an amplifier (which comes with it) and play it through that, like an electric.

So in summary, if you want just an acoustic (for a nice price) go with the Peavey. If you want to be able to amplify the sound, buy the Ibanez.

HONESTLY don't buy a guitar from Target, or walmart, or any other franchise like that. They will be terribly hard to play and so cheaply made. Try www.musiciansfriend.com.

Edit- any of these guitars are better than anything youll get at target- personally i'd go for the Ibanez!

Personally I adore Ibanez guitars. They're never cheaply made, but always moderately priced.

Out of all the guitars I have, my 200 dollar ibanez bass guitar is my favourite.

Definitely go with the ibanez.

None of them. Go to Guitar Center, and see what they have. Been playing since the 60s. Own four guitars, two electric, and two acoustics.

Don't buy anything off the Net. Go to your local music shop and see what's on offer there. Check it out first, see what's in your price range, then, ideally, take him along and let him choose from what you've already looked at. If you happen to have a friend who already plays, take him/her along too to demonstrate. If no friend, ask the shop assistant. Let him pick the one he likes the sound of most. Maybe he could hold it and see how easy it is to push the strings down. OKit takes away the element of surprise, but you stand a goo cyhance of getting one that will suit him and in case of problems, it's a lot easier to sort them out. Also, see what kind of deal they will go - free gig bag or whatever - and, if possible, get him an electric tuner. Hope this helps
