(make sure its approtpire to the time period though, nothing from today that you could find like at the mall)

A Dress of that time Period....(not a Cocktail dress ) HELL yeah, get the extra credit!

NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!... NEVER WEAR A DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it a school play? It sounds like it from the extra credit part.

Well hell yea, Wear a Dress. Don't buy it, go around town or the internet looking for shops that rents play dresses like that. Come on, who'd want to keep that Juliet dress in their closet from a play they wore to once :)

Yeah wear a dress. For the extra credit it will be cool, and to have fun with it.
Go for dress and make up, the whole thing. Take a girly voice, and be really feminine. I'm pretty sure people will laugh and it will be cool heh

if you want to be known for wearing a dress for the rest of your school career

go for it. and send us pictures : D

No probably not!!! Not in least you want your pic in the year book as the gay guy!!!!! LOL I mean if you want to you can but my guy Friends wouldn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

In the era of true Elizabethian Theatre, many times men played the parts of women, as well as in Acient Greek Theatre. If you look at Comedia Del Arte, old Italian Theatre, this bit was used as a visual gag all the time.

Also, eunichs have been used as sopranos for hundreds of years - a little off topic, but still.

I say, Go for it!

Only if you can pull it off without laughing and making out the whole thing is a joke. As others have mentioned, men used to play the women's roles in Shakespeare's time. Do it with conviction and it could be good. Do it as a joke and it will be terrible. Expect some laughter when you first appear. Try to ignore it.
