What kind of mallets should i use for a 4 mallet marimba solo?

Question:i just started doing for mallets, i know they have to be matching, but is there a certain type that would be the best?? =]

Im assuming you're a beginner at this, so i think that you should purchase Mike balter mallets, through "Lone Star Percussion" fine cheap mallets dont go for the really expensive mallets yet until you're closer to your performance. I use Leigh Howard Steven's mallets by Malletech and thoes are 36.50 a pair, where as the Mike Balter mallets are only 24.50-29.50 a pair.
