For a long time, the best chorus pedal I'd heard was the Boss CS-1. (CE-1? Dang, I can never remember...) It's simple, straightforward, but has an amazing chorus sound... one that I think is better than the later versions of itself (I think there's a CS-3 or CS-5 or something... Not a fan).

The only chorus pedal that I've heard *better* than that is the Visual Sound H2O Liquid Chorus pedal. I don't know how my friend's wife found it, but she bought it for him for christmas, and it was a dang good buy. It has this amazingly detailed lush watery sound to it.... i've heard a lot of choruses from multifx (GT-3 has a nice 2x2 chorus), pedal, and even computer software (Jesusonic, Amplitube) and the H2O beats them all.

Boss makes decent pedals overall, and their Reverb pedals are no exception. I don't have much experience with pedal Reverb, but if I was to pick anything, I'd go with Boss... they may or may not be the best non-multifx reverb pedal out there, but they're built like tanks. They don't break all that easy, unlike many other pedals... Their digital reverb pedal is the RV-5. I just did some googling, and many reviewers are saying it's one of the best they've ever used.

I've heard some really good things about ElectroHarmonix's reverb pedal.... Holy Grail, and its successor, Holier Grail. Nice, lush, customizable tone. I think the EH reverb pedal is a little more versatile than the Boss.

Umm.. beyond that, I'd stay away from Digitech for church use. You might be able to get something usable for blues sounds out of one of those units, but I wouldn't bet on it. (I'm not a big fan of Digitech)
