I have never heard of that brand, and I don't encourage you to purchase it.

You say you've found an awesome deal on a beautiful violin -- but, if it's online, you can't possibly know that it's beautiful. Even if you've seen pictures, they are most likely Photoshopped or otherwise altered. And if it's not a good violin, it's not a good deal no matter what the cost is.

So, I don't recommend it at all. However, if you're looking to purchase online, I'd suggest you check out:

www.swstrings.com
or
www.wwbw.com

You can call either company, and discuss your needs, budget, playing capabilities, etc., and they'll help you to find an instrument. They are the only two retailers from whom I completely trust online purchases.

Instead of buying online, go to your local music store. They'll help you MUCH more than any website.

Hello

No i haven't been accros one before. I would just suggest you to go to a proper shop rather than internet beacuse the luthier will be able to guide you, even more if you're beginner... You just have to explain that you are (nearly) broke... lol

Good Luck!

I dont have any experience with cecilio violins, but i would definitely not recommend buying one one those cheap ebay violins. When it comes to string instruments, you get what you pay for.

Please do not buy any musical instrument off the internet. You will just end up with problems.

Violins, in particular, have to be set up correctly so you should only buy a violin from a proper violin shop. Do not buy it from a guitar shop or general music shop either.

$300 should get you a decent beginner's outfit : violin, bow, case and rosin. You will also need a shoulder rest and an electronic tuner. Please but it from a violin shop and you will not have any problems.

You should also play any violin before you buy it. There is a huge variation in sound quality even amongst the cheaper instruments.

looks like cheap chinese. don't get me wrong. i like good chinese instruments not the cheap unplayable ones. if that is your budget i suggest you look into sharmusicdotcom or sw-stringsdotcom. they have used ones for about the same price and if for some reason you get one that's not "shop adjusted" you get to exchange it and not pay for shipping. your teacher would know whether it's playable or not.
