A lot of the reason we don't sound good outside the shower is because we're not relaxed. Not only is the steam a nice treat for your vocal cords, but the hot water and the privacy make for some relaxed singing... which is always better!

Singing ANYWHERE is good for your voice... practice can only help you improve!

Physically, no. There really isn't a magical aura in the shower that makes your voice better.

Confidence-wise, however, singing in the shower can help. When you're by yourself, you don't worry about what other people are going to say~ unless, of course, they are in the shower listening to you. Odd.

And generally, this is the height of confidence, when you're by yourself, so you open up your voice and go for things you don't normally go for in public.

Take that confidence and apply it to non-shower conditions~ might help some.

Yes, what happens is the water molecules are vaporized and absorb into the vocal cords. There has been extensive research done by men and women in reputable lab coats. It is also encouraged to be "Singing in the Rain"!

It makes you think you sound better. Its has the echo thing goin on. Some people do sound better in the shower. I sing all the time in the shower.

maybe you sound better due to the acoustics of the shower / bathroom. However, it does nothing to alter your actual voice or hearing in any way, only maybe changes perception due to the shower and other background noises and room acoustics.

You probably sound better because the acoustics are better in there, as for helping your voice......no, it may moisten your throat but that's about all !!!!!!!!!!!
