What kind of bass guitar should I buy for $100-200?

Question:I'm a beginner at bass, but I've been playing guitar for a year and a half. I want a bass that isn't very costly, but I don't want a piece of junk. I want a four string. Once again, my price range is between $100-200. Thanks for your help.

Your best bet is to visit a local guitar shop that sells used instruments. You'll be able to purchase a better instrument for the same amount as you'd pay for a new, lower quality bass.
