Position:Home>Performing Arts> What are solo and ensembles ike for a band and choir student?

Question:Basically, you practice, practice, practice at school. Then you show up at the Elementary, Middle, High School...Warm Up, Wait your time slot, and play for the judges. Most of the time after wards they will call you to the table, let you/group know how you did, and give you the score sheet with notes etc. It is nerve wrecking if you're not used to performing, people are watching you/supporting you, and you have a judge critiquing you. It can be rough, or it can be a blast! Just have fun with it, and try to get the best rating you can! GOOD LUCK!

I've been going since 5th grade, and it's nervousing at first cause usually you have people watching you. I always started shaking abit, but i'm a nervous person. Anyway, after awhile of singing i'd be fine, and i wasn't that nervous about my clarinet solo because i didn't see the ppl, i was too busy staring at my music and all. So it's pretty nerous, but after a few times, it gets alot easier. I'm going first time in HS, and i'm nervous cause it's at a different place then in Jr High and Elementary.

they are what you make of it

just pick a song you like, and have fun with it
