How can i get some modeling work?

Question:im young and where can i go to just get experience or do a photoshoot? i practice runway walkin and posing in front of my mirror all the time. i dont want to start a career but i want to just be out there.. if u kno wht i mean

DON'T register with places like OneModel Place or Model Mayhem. They're mostly about nudity. (It breaks my heart to see people listing young children on those sites). Instead take some classes at a local Junior College or modeling agency. Check these sites out for realistic information:

ya....i no wat u mean!my bff is a professional model and she got her start by takin classes at this dance/model/acting/ballet skool and after she got experianced thats when she got accepted into all these top mags and fashion shows and all so u should maybe find alocal modeling skool

Yea. my friend is young and she had recently started a modeling job, she went to do a photoshoot in NY and got a contract, idt anyone has actually givien her a job, but we all are telling her she looks like a girl that could be on the American Eagle web haha dont worry you'll get a job. but check the web for NY shoots and enroll! No matter who you start with, BEWARE of modeling agency who tells you "...there's a little nudity involved..." If they say nudity, or any slang term like "real skimpy clothes," they're really talking about a porn shoot. It starts out innocently as modeling underwear, then he says "take your top off," and when you agree, a few minutes later, you're nude, and before you know it, the poses are waaaay too suggestive. If it was me, I'd walk off the job if anyone says "take your top off." Look at all the ads for underwear, and observe the women all preserve most of their dignity (except Fredericks of Hollywood catalog).

get a proffesional portfolio done and get on the web

Lose some weight.
That is all those fools care about.

Better yet...tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

you cant just get experience, you have to audition and work out every day and have 'the look'

And when you audition you dont have to have much experience perse, it does look better, but if you have a good look and great figure and are at least 5'6 you'll be good.
If you're under 5'6 you could prolly do catelouge modeling.

The best thing is to get your pics in all kinds of clothings both winter & summer. Keep on sending it to an Agency.
Second thing move to New York, that is where you will get a chance to get a free modeling acting without paying but they only give this opportunity to five models every year. Keep an agent.
Keep a lot of copies of your pics maybe even hundreds because your agent is going to call you & tell you to fill up the form anytime.
Always be on time don't ignore your agent, sometimes he might even call you at 2am of night so always be ready.

If you're doing it from outside US, they'll take you to Los Angeles directly & when in LA, you need a car to travel, LA is such a place. Best of Luck
