How do i know which pick-ups on my guitar I should use at what times?

Question:I use a fender stratocaster with a humbucker pickup. I also have the five way switch. When should I use each pickup?

Traditionally, the neck pickups for rythym, and the bridge pickups for lead. But you can mix and match as you see fit, just what type sound you like for what you play at the time. There are no rules......

When it sounds good. Don't try to be someone else, be yourself! Be unique!

If it sounds good, stick with it! Experiment.
