Question:You write a song, put it in a music program note by note, print out sheet music, get the copyright....., someone sings it on an album and it's played on the air. What are the missing steps between the copyright and the album? Please don't tell me to make a demo. I am not a performer. Tell me who to contact first. What kind of person or place to contact first. I did what I can do, now I need to know how to get involved in the business part of music.

Meet performers, get them interested in your music, and persuade them to record it. Have them sign a contract, vetted by YOUR attorney specializing in ENTERTAINMENT LAW regarding how much and by what method you will be paid.
Probably most recording artists can't read sheet music, So you are gonna have to do some sort of demo, or find a partner to do that for you.
Basically, you are creating a product or service you want to sell. That means understanding who the buyers are,and waht the distribution channels are, and using those to reach folks who might be interested for marketing and sales purposes.
nolo.com has some books on the legal aspects of your business. I recommend them..
he has to record the song whether you have demo'd it or not. the demo is to persuade him that your song is something worth spending time on., compared to all the other songs in the world.
