Question:on guitar tabs when it has an X what does that stand for?? i was pretty sure it was 'dont play that string' but what about when its like this...

Do i mute then play, then so on...???

that,there,means you mute,play 0,mute,play 1,but it depends because you wrote it: mute,play 0,mute, play chord 1-3...mute,play 0,mute and play 3,play 1 ...whatever...

on rhythm slash,that means that if you play rhythm,that riff(slash) is muted and you keep striking it while it's mute to get a weird sound.

I can't read tab as well as I read notes, so I don't know how you play that bit there, but I know X means 'mute the string'.

It says "on rhythm slash represents muted slash ".

Now, that does not make much sense to me but perhaps somebody could enlighten us further using that link I provided.
