There are so many aspects to putting together a show, it would help to know what kind of show you're talking about. A one-man comedy stand-up? A musical? A straight play? Avante garde? Dance theater? concert?

If you've absolutely no experience I'd recommend talking the to college's Drama department. They may be able to pair you with someone more experience to act as a production assistant.
