Position:Home>Performing Arts> Getting customized guitar???

Question:So i own a Fender Stratocaster and I want to customize it. What would i do and where do i go, etc..? I went to the Fender Custom Shop website but then how do u actually tell them how to customize it and where do i give my guitar to? how much would it cost, averaged?

im really actually just looking to get it painted in a cool design, would that be different or what and how much is that?

thanks

Why do you want to customise it? What do you want done to it? If you just want it painted in a cool design, you could probably find a decent guitar workshop that would strip it down for you and then deliver it to an artist who could do the job, then the workshop would reassemble it for you, re-solder the electrics, etc.

Customising guitars normally involves replacing the parts with better ones, fitting different pickups etc. Just repainting the guitar is not something that Fender will be bothered to do for you. I imagine that a decent guitar workshop would charge a couple of hundred bucks for a job like you want, which after all doesn't involve getting expensive new pickups or anything.

Change the pickups...use seymour duncan. Paint it and change the hardware.
