French horn help??!?

Question:everytime after im done playing my lips r always indented from my mouth peice ( from hitting high note) how can i reduce or stop this??

I know it's tough, but you can't push the horn towards your mouth to hit those high notes. Instead, you need to increase the flow of air a lot.

An idea to prevent yourself from shoving the horn into your mouth is to lift it off your lap--use the hand in the bell to support it. When you hold your instrument in this way, it becomes nearly impossible for your left arm to smash the mouthpiece into your lips.
