How do I have enough courage to sing my best in front of my most favorite subjec

Question:I had to sing for my favorite teacher in an audition once; I just thought, hey, the more I put into it the better I'll look and the better I'll sound. Just throw yourself into it full heartedly and you're bound to impress! :) I mean, who would you like to listen to? A person murmuring to themselves or someone with pride and confidence? :)
