Should i sing for this thing or work backstage??

Question:My 8th grade variety show is comming up and ppl are already sighning up for skits. I am a good singer in my opinion and my parents think so too not many ppl have hear my real singing voice and i dont know if i should go through with it and sing a song from broadway, or if i should work as backstage crew?? I sing in like 3 different chiors each that i had to try out for..so i must be pretty good. Someone help me.....friends who heard me sing b4 would rele help.. Thanx

well, u should if u want to. in my opinion ur a good singer n if u feel comfortable wit singin then do it. go for it. u should sing. gooooooooooo!!!! for it girlfriend. i mean my friend that is a girl. YEA!!!!! u should sing RESPECT!!!!

Hey, you should go with whatever that you feel confident in doing. Singing in front of audiences takes alot of effort. If you prefer backstage, then do it. If anything you should also practice in front of a mirror or close friends. If they comment negatively ignore it. You hold your own life in your own hands. Good luck!
