practice with a purpose.
don't just sit and play the song over and over again, pick a part that is giving you trouble and work on that.

ooooo my sister played that in a solo and won. i play the flute too. but i just started last year so im not that good. all you gotta do is relax and play they best you can!

When you practice, take it slow and use a metronome to gradually work your way up to the right tempo. This is an easy song to rush so pay attention to the time. It's a pretty basic and straightforward song so use dynamics to make it flow and more interesting. If you can, use a vibrato, that always makes any song sound better and impressive ; ) If you don't know how to do that then don't worry about it. Don't rush the end, actually slow it down the last 4 measures (ritardando). And of course, play with emotion! Add some expresssion to it. That always makes it soooooo much more convincing and natural.
