How to get recognized for any talents?

Question:i write songs and poems and i sing (not to be full of myself but im good- and no, im not one of those american idol wanna be's who thinks they can sing and turn out TERRIBLE haha)..i wanna get recognized or noticed but im only 15 and i kinda dont know how. i know i still have time in my life but music and writing IS my life and i wanna get started..everyone i know says i should do something to get recognized..any suggestions on how?

thats nice to write on your age .I greet you and i think that the best way to notice is to write more and more and publish it on many sites and you can publish any thing you write on yahoo answer to all members and then telling you their opinion.with my best wishes

Start with your community:
Perform in talent shows or open mike nights or something so that people can see how talented you are.

This may bring up something where someone either wants you to sing in their band, or do a gig for them, which brings you one step closer to stardom!
