Question:I'm a sixteen year old girl and I've been writing songs and playing guitar for awhile now. I technically don't have a really good voice.

So my question is, can voice/vocal lessons really help me to become better? Or issit just for people who already have great singing voices that can become more impressive?

And can anyone give me advice on this particular subject? Can it really help?

Voice lessons can help you a great deal -

You'll learn how to properly support your voice with solid breathing and technique. That alone can take a mediocre voice and make it strong and solid. You'll also learn to train your ear so that you can hear yourself properly and keep yourself on pitch. Commit to at least 6 months of regular lessons, and you need to practice a LOT. A person's voice can change over time... your range can expand, your control will improve. The only way to get there is to sing regularly, and focus on the skills that need improvement.

Good luck!
